The UAE and the Philippines have agreed to expand air services, clearing the way for UAE national carriers to operate additional flights to Manila.
Talks between the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Philippines’ Civil Aeronautics Board resulted in an agreement to grant the UAE additional flight entitlements.
Officials say the move will boost air connectivity, accommodate rising passenger demand and further strengthen the aviation relationship between the two nations.
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, said the agreement reflects close cooperation between the UAE and the Philippines, while supporting sustainable growth in the aviation sector and strengthening people-to-people ties.
The two countries share a long‑standing aviation partnership, driven by high passenger demand and the large Filipino community living and working in the Emirates.
Both sides continue to expand cooperation in air services and commercial operations, contributing to tourism, trade, and broader aviation sector growth.
