Dubai Police have unveiled a futuristic 'Biometric Tunnel' that identifies individuals by their unique walking style.
The AI-powered system, developed by Dubiometrics, captures a person’s 'motion fingerprint' in just five seconds using advanced sensors and gait analysis.
Still in the research and development phase, the tunnel aims to support forensic investigations by combining gait recognition with facial, ear and body biometrics.
Lt. Col. Dr. Hamad Mansour Al Awr, the project director, spoke to Dubai Eye 103.8's The Agenda about how this technology could revolutionise suspect identification and enhance public safety.
The innovative technology was unveiled this week at GITEX Global, where Dubai Police showcased their latest advancements in smart policing and AI-driven security.
