Emirates Airline is taking steps to reduce the use of single-use plastic across its network.
It has pledged to replace straws, swizzle sticks and stirrers with eco-friendly alternatives by the end of the year.
Paper straws have already been introduced on some of the flights, while from August, plastic bags used for in-flight retail purchases will also be replaced with paper bags.
These initiatives are expected to remove an estimated 81.7 million single-use plastic items from landfill each year.
The airline has also been conducting trials to explore various recycling initiatives on board, with staff and cabin crew giving feedback on environmentally-friendly ideas.
