Funeral prayers have been held for Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, at Zabeel Mosque on Wednesday.
According to the Dubai Media Office, the prayers were offered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
They were "joined by several Sheikhs of the Al Maktoum family".

The body will be laid to rest at the Umm Hurair cemetery in Dubai.

The absentee funeral prayer for Sheikh Hamdan will be held at mosques across the UAE today, after the Maghrib prayer.
