His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, has visited Jebel Ali Port to review operations and examine ongoing efforts to strengthen Dubai’s role as a global trade hub.
The visit, to the DP World-operated facility, included briefings on the port’s performance and its multimodal logistics network, which handled nearly 200,000 TEUs through regional road and rail corridors over the past two months.
His Highness praised the teams at Jebel Ali Port for their operational excellence and their role in ensuring the smooth flow of global trade through one of the world’s leading maritime gateways.
He also highlighted Dubai’s long-term vision for trade, saying its global position has been built on advanced infrastructure, connectivity and resilience, with Jebel Ali Port remaining central to regional and international supply chains for nearly five decades.
During the tour, Sheikh Hamdan also visited key facilities including the Jebel Ali Rail Terminal, the BOXBAY high-bay storage system, and the operations centre at Terminal 2, all of which reflect continued investment in automation, connectivity and logistics efficiency.
"For nearly five decades, Jebel Ali Port has remained at the heart of a continuing success story, playing a vital role in linking regional and international supply chains while ensuring the uninterrupted flow of commerce under all conditions," said Sheikh Hamdan.
Jebel Ali Port is the largest port in the Middle East and the anchor of the region’s most extensive free zone, Jafza, home to 12,000 companies across manufacturing, logistics, retail, healthcare, automotive and food sectors.
