His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, attended the UAE SWAT Challenge in Al Ruwayyah on Tuesday.

He witnessed teams competing in the ‘High Tower Challenge’ on the fourth day of the event, one of five main competitions in the world’s largest tactical and special forces challenge.

This year's event has broken participation records, with 105 teams from 46 countries across six continents vying for top honours.

During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed observed the tactical teams' impressive skills and was briefed on their specialized training aimed at improving their professional abilities to overcome diverse challenges.

He praised the Ministry of Interior for organizing the event and commended Dubai Police for its successful hosting and coordination.

Sheikh Mohammed also met with the leaders of the tactical teams, lauding their performances and emphasizing the vital role their work plays in ensuring community safety and responding to specialized situations.

In recognition of the event's success, Sheikh Mohammed received the ‘Challenge Shield’ from Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, and an official certificate acknowledging the UAE SWAT Challenge’s entry into the Guinness World Records for having the largest number of countries in a special forces competition.

His Highness also met with the Dubai Police Women's Team, praising their dedication and recognizing the valuable contributions of women to the nation’s progress in all fields.

The UAE SWAT Challenge features five main events: Tactical Operations, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue, High Tower Challenge, and the Obstacle Course.

The challenge promotes global expertise exchange, allowing teams to learn best practices in rapid response operations while assessing their readiness for tactical scenarios.
