How a Dubai mom got the Burj Khalifa to light up in blue

A Dubai-based British mother has told ARN how she got the world’s tallest building to put the spotlight on a rare genetic disorder.

The Burj Khalifa lit up in blue on Saturday night to mark International Angelman Syndrome Day.

Blue is the globally recognised colour for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.

Emily Ray has been campaigning across the country and on social media after her four-year-old son Sam was diagnosed with AS in 2017.

Speaking to The Agenda on Dubai Eye 103.8, she recalled how her social media post to raise awareness about the little-known condition was picked up by Emaar.
