The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates has launched e-Visa operations, expanding access to online visa services for eligible travellers.
The service began on October 26 following a two-week beta-testing period.
The e-Visa platform covers 9(a) entry visas for tourism, business, training, conferences/ meetings, medical treatment and workshops/ seminars.
Applications can be completed online, with approved visas issued electronically instead of being placed as physical stickers in passports.
The existing sticker-visa service will continue alongside the new system. While sticker visas may be converted or extended, e-Visas issued through the online platform are non-convertible and non-extendable.
Processing takes seven to 12 working days for a single-entry visa and 15 to 40 working days for a multiple-entry visa.
Fees remain AED 260 for single entry, AED 420 for six-month multiple entry and AED 580 for one-year multiple entry.
Once an e-Visa has been issued, travellers must register free of charge through the Philippine e-Travel System or the eGovPH mobile app within 72 hours before arriving in the Philippines.
The e-Visa service primarily benefits passport holders from countries requiring a visa before travelling to the Philippines.

Update for Indian nationals:
- Since June 8, 2025, Indian nationals have been eligible for 14-day visa-free entry to the Philippines for tourism or business purposes. This stay is non-extendible and non-convertible.
- Indian nationals holding valid visas or residence permits from the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, Schengen countries, Singapore or the United Kingdom can enter the Philippines visa-free for up to 30 days. This privilege can be availed of at any Philippine port of entry.
- Travellers must still present a valid passport (6+ months), proof of onward or return travel, accommodation details, evidence of sufficient funds, and clearance from the Bureau of Immigration derogatory database.
- Indians travelling for work, study, long-term stays or transit must continue to obtain the appropriate visa before travelling.
Update for Chinese nationals:
- Effective January 16, 2026, Chinese nationals are granted 14-day visa-free entry for tourism or business. This period is non-extendible and non-convertible.
- Unlike general entry policies, this specific 14-day visa-free entry for Chinese nationals is restricted exclusively to entry through Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Cebu.
- Standard arrival documentation (valid passport, hotel reservation, onward travel ticket, and clean immigration clearance) applies.
