UAE Minister of State Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan has held talks with President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, in Abu Dhabi.
Itno is in Abu Dhabi on an official visit.
Earlier, the UAE and Chad signed an agreement to build a hospital and a dialysis centre in the country's capital city of N'Djamena. The 100-bed hospital is expected to benefit more than 1.7 million people, while the 80-bed dialysis centre will serve more than 9 per cent of the population of the Chadian capital.
Sheikh Shakhboot emphasised that the two health centres reflects the efforts of the UAE to to strengthen healthcare sector around the world, particularly in Africa.
The UAE has been heavily involved in humanitarian efforts in Chad to assist Sudanese refugees.
