The UAE has strongly condemned the armed attack targeting Pakistani police that killed five of its personnel at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the northwestern region on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the UAE's categorical rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aims to undermine security and stability.
The ministry also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the victims' families, the government, and the people of Pakistan.
According to Reuters, provincial police said the victims' van was first targeted with improvised explosives before the attackers opened fire, killing four officers and the driver. They later said security forces had killed eight of the attackers involved.
