Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed regional developments on Monday with Vice President of the German Bundestag Omid Nouripour.
They also discussed the repercussions of the Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of countries in the region, regional and international security and stability, energy supplies, international navigation security, and the global economy.
Omid Nouripour reiterated the solidarity of Germany with the United Arab Emirates in taking all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity, citizens, residents, and visitors.
During the meeting, the two sides also reviewed developments related to the announcement by US President Donald Trump of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and discussed the importance of strengthening regional and international efforts to achieve sustainable peace and consolidate the foundations of security and stability for the benefit of the peoples of the region.
Sheikh Abdullah and Omid Nouripour discussed the development of cooperative relations between the UAE and Germany, and ways to enhance them in all fields.
