The UAE and Israel are cooperating on research and development related to COVID-19.
A commercial agreement has been signed between an Emirati and an Israeli firm to develop a coronavirus testing device for quicker and more accurate results.
According to national news agency WAM, the deal between the UAE's APEX National Investment and Israel's TeraGroup was announced at a press conference in Abu Dhabi.
It comes just days after the normalisation of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Israel.
APEX is an investment company in the field of public investments, including the healthcare sector with a focus on setting up field hospitals.
Established in 2003, TeraGroup branched out of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, and has investments in Research & Development with many world-renowned scientists.
