The UAE's Federal National Council Speaker, Saqr Ghobash, has met with Jordan's King Abdullah II to discuss the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
According to a royal court statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (PETRA), King Abdullah II stressed the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and the UAE, and his keenness to advance them further, especially at the parliamentary level.
Ghobash highlighted the support provided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the King to build relations to higher levels.
The King also commended the UAE’s diplomatic efforts to push for a ceasefire in Gaza, as well as its humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians and continue to deliver aid.
Ghobash also conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Mohamed, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
