The UAE has strongly condemned the repeated attacks by Israel on Syria and reaffirmed its commitment to the country's "unity, stability and territorial integrity".
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stressed that the attacks violate the international law, particularly the “Agreement of Disengagement” signed between Israel and Syria in 1974.
The Ministry underscored the UAE’s "rejection of such practices, which threaten further escalation and tension in the region, and hinder efforts to achieve peace and stability".
More than 100 people have been killed in clashes in Syria over the last week during Israeli airstrikes and growing sectarian violence around Damascus and Suwayda.
