UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has explored prospects for accelerating joint cooperation with UNESCO, during a meeting with its Director General Audrey Azoulay in the UAE.
The two sides discussed current and future UNESCO projects and initiatives that aim to preserve the global cultural and civilisational heritage for future generations and also addressed an array of cultural, educational and scientific issues of common interest.
Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s support for UNESCO's programmes and pledged to build on the constructive cooperation that began decades ago.
Azoulay also took the opportunity to commend the UAE for its continuous support to all UNESCO projects worldwide.
